SIDES' Staff Christmas Auction Raises Funds for Hospice

Victoria Hospice would like to thank the staff and faculty at South Island Distance Education School (SIDES) for raising much-needed funds to support end-of-life care in our community.

The funds were the result of a creative fundraising auction the staff held last December. Fittingly titled the “12 Days of Christmas Auction”, staff generously donated and bid (often times competitively) on a variety of beautiful and unique items, including: a loaf of homemade bread (which garnered a jaw-dropping $60 winning bid), a hand-blown glass vase, a hand-dyed knitted scarf and the drafting of a personal will.

SIDES said the auction was easy to execute and created a fun and engaging way for staff to purchase unique holiday gifts, while giving back to a great cause.

Thank you to everyone at SIDES for your generous support!
