A New Sign For Hospice

sign on buildingIf you've ever visited Victoria Hospice's 17-bed patient unit in the Richmond Pavilion on the Royal Jubilee Hospital campus, you might know that it can be tough to find. From Richmond Rd, there weren't any signs pointing people to our building. You had to come right into the Jubilee campus itself to find the front of the Richmond Pavilion, where there is a Hospice sign at the entrance.

We're happy to report that that's no longer the case. It was a long time coming, but the Victoria Hospice logo now adorns the south side of the Richmond Pavilion, clearly visible to everyone heading north on Richmond Rd.

Our new sign is due to the generous donations of two great guys - Randy Scott of Horizon Signs and Russ Fieldhouse of Absolute Lighting and Signs Service.

Randy made the sign for us and Russ showed up on a weekend to install it. We can't thank them enough for their generosity.

Here's a shot of Russ hanging the sign. Fortunately, the wind stopped blowing for a few minutes and the rain held off until we were done.

We think the new sign is a great addition to our building. But of course, we're biased.

What do you think? Feel free to leave a comment below. We've closed the comments due to the amount of spam. But you can always comment on Facebook.

And here's a view of the sign showing the whole building - including our Hospice Garden on the roof. I wonder if we can call this the Victoria Hospice building now?
