Gifts in Your Will

Extraordinary Gifts from Everyday People

Victoria Hospice is honoured to receive legacy gifts from people of all walks of life. Each gift is truly unique and received with gratitude.

A bequest is a gift made by Will and can include a specific cash amount, a portion or percentage of your estate, a gift of real estate, securities, or works of art. A gift in your Will can provide considerable financial support to Victoria Hospice while allowing you to maintain financial security during your lifetime. A bequest is a lasting, intentional act of generosity and kindness – a legacy of compassion for patients facing advancing illness and their loved ones.

You may specify whether your bequest gift is to be unrestricted – used in the area of greatest need, helping to fulfil the mission of Victoria Hospice:  to enhance the quality of life for those facing advanced illness, death and bereavement through skilled and compassionate care, education, research and advocacy; OR you may elect to make a restricted bequest – used only for the purpose you choose; for example, operating fund, education activities, research activities, or general endowment fund.

We strongly recommend donors seek professional advice from their legal and financial advisors. Your lawyer will craft the Will clause language to meet your needs, and your financial advisor will guide you on the most tax effective way to make your gift.
