Did you know? For margizalied individuals facing advancing illness and death, relief from pain and suffering that comes with palliative care and access to grief support is limited. Since 2013, thanks to a generous donation from the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem Knight’s Hospitaller (Victoria Commandery), Victoria Hospice has helped to address the palliative care and bereavement needs of marginalized people through a program called Closer to the Community held at Our Place in downtown Victoria.

Quality palliative and end-of-life care for all: Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for those facing life-limiting illness, death and bereavement through patient and family centred care, education, research and advocacy.
