2014 Russ Hays Ambriss Clermont Memorial Ride

Event Date:
Sunday, September 07, 2014

LogoJoin us for the 3rd annual Ambriss Clermont Memorial Ride taking place on September 7, 2014. Last year’s ride was a great success, raising an impressive $11,455 for Victoria Hospice!

The Ambriss Clermont Memorial Ride is named in memory of Ambriss Clermont, Russ Hay’s co-owner from 1974 to 2012. As a result of the outstanding care and support Ambriss and her family received at Victoria Hospice, Mike Clermont founded this event in memory of his wife and business partner to acknowledge the amazing work Victoria Hospice does for this community.

Registration is $25 and includes a t.shirt with all proceeds going to Victoria Hospice (if registered before August 15, your t.shirt will be ready for you at the ride). We encourage participants to set up a fundraising page and raise funds by collecting pledges online. There will be prizes for people reaching fundraising goals of $250, $500 and $1000 as well as a prize for the ultimate fundraiser.

The Ride
The event has two ride distances, allowing beginner to intermediate to participate - 60km and 110km. The rides will start at 8am leaving from Russ Hay’s Victoria, 650 Hillside Ave. Food and drink will be provided before and after each ride at Russ Hay’s. There will be a Russ Hay’s support van at the half-way point of each ride. The van will be providing food, drink, mechanical support as well as spare clothing. It is also there to assist any riders who are unable to continue.
