Volunteer Commitment  
  The Victoria Hospice Volunteer accepts the following responsibilities:
1 To work as a member of the Victoria Hospice Team, accepting supervision from and communicating relevant information to the Coordinator of Volunteers.
2 To work with consideration, courtesy and dignity at all times.
3 To uphold through her/his actions the mission and vision of Victoria Hospice.
4 To be punctual and conscientious in carrying out assignments.
5 To respect the confidentiality of information received through Victoria Hospice work.
6 To continue the processes of learning and personal growth by participating in ongoing education and support programs offered by Victoria Hospice.
7 To commit an agreed amount of time per week to Victoria Hospice service, preferably for a minimum of six months.

Victoria Hospice accepts the following responsibilities:
1 To provide volunteers with orientation, training, supervision, and support.
2 To treat volunteers as respected members of the Victoria Hospice staff, respecting their unique gifts.
3 To seek volunteers' ideas, opinions and assessments of the program, and to act on their recommendations.
4 To provide volunteers with opportunities for growth and advancement through ongoing educational offerings and personal support.
