The Victoria Hospice & Palliative Care Foundation
The Victoria Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation was formed in 1997 for the purpose of soliciting and stewarding donated funds to support the care provided by Victoria Hospice. Funds are raised from a variety of sources, including private donations, foundation grants, corporate sponsorship and fundraising events. Annual funding priorities are determined by the Victoria Hospice Society. The 2007/08 volunteer Board of Directors is comprised of ten members of the public.
The Victoria Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation is a registered charity (Charitable Registration # 87440-9964-RR0001) by the Canada Revenue Agency under the Income Tax Act. Charitable tax receipts for donations to Victoria Hospice are issued for the full amount allowable under Canada Revenue Agency regulations.
The Victoria Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation is a member of Imagine Canada, and aspires to meet the standards set out in its Ethical Fundraising and Financial Accountability Code.
Individual members of our Victoria Hospice fundraising team subscribe to the Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethical Principles and Standards.
